If you need +12V and -12V, but all that's available is +12V, then this project is for you. The Inverting DC-DC Converter gives you -V out when you put +V in, and works over a range of voltages without adjustment. It's a easy to build voltage mirror that can supply over 100 mA without a significant drop in voltage.
